Customers can add digital ticket passes directly to their Apple or Google Wallet.
What is it?
Audience members can now add tickets to Apple or Google wallet in one click, from a link in your order confirmation email. Choose your template, add relevant information, and configure currency, logo, colours, date, and time.
What will this help me achieve?
Streamline customer experience for 2025, with quick and easy access to tickets. Audience members will no longer have to pull up their original email to access tickets - instead, they’ll be instantly accessible on their smartphone.

Improved event listings and sign up on Spektrix Link subsites
Clearer listings, event information, and sign up forms.
What is it?
We’re continuing to improve our white-label subsites, the fully supported purchase pathway included with Spektrix. With this latest batch of updates, users have the ability to filter events on the What’s On page; show more detailed event descriptions; and add a sign up form for newsletters and other communications. These improvements will benefit clients who manage ticket sales through a Spektrix subsite (built in the Spektrix Link interface). Subsites are offered to all Spektrix users at no extra cost, and fully supported by our team - follow the link to learn more.
What will this help me achieve?
A complete, streamlined purchase pathway can now be set up within Spektrix subsites. While subsites aren’t intended to replace your entire website - you’ll need to host and manage your own homepage and other key information - every interaction with Spektrix can take place within our supported, managed web pages. Or, if you prefer, pick and choose elements like sign ups, gift vouchers, or membership pages to test or introduce new ideas alongside your integrated website, with no cost and little resource needed.

Use Ticket Subscriptions as Eligibility Criteria
It's more efficient than ever to make flexible season pass holders eligible for offers and benefits.
What is it?
You’re now able to easily make Ticket Subscription holders eligible for all kinds of benefits and features, including priority booking, commission waiving, offers, and more. Additionally, customers are now able to purchase a ticket subscription and redeem any benefits associated with that subscription in the same transaction.
What will this help me achieve?
It will take less time to set up benefits for your season ticket holders. Plus, customers have one more reason to purchase a Ticket Subscription, as they can start redeeming associated offers right away.

Eircode lookup makes address finding easier for customers in Ireland
Customers in Ireland can enter their address details more quickly.
What is it?
Customers with UK postcodes are familiar with functionality to enter their house number and postcode, and quickly find the remainder of their address. We’ve now made the same tools possible for customers who live in the Republic of Ireland, with the addition of Eircode lookup.
What will this help me achieve?
Whether you’re based in Ireland, or welcoming visitors with Irish addresses, you can provide a smoother, faster checkout process and ensure the data you’re collecting is clean and reliable.
No action required - this option appears when customers choose ‘Ireland’ as their country of residence

Updated ward boundary data in the UK
Electoral ward boundaries reflect current data.
What is it?
Ward data is now updated to reflect 2025 boundary changes, and an annual update to capture future changes. You can now report directly from Spektrix on income, attendance, and activities filtered by ward.
What will this help me achieve?
Ward boundaries provide a shorthand way to understand the geography and demographics of audiences and participants. Many UK funders require reporting including participation across ward boundaries, both to support applications and to understand impact.
Many of you rely on ward data to report to funders, other organizations and to help plan future activity. Our ward data hadn't been updated in 6 years and is out of date. Work has now been completed to refresh the data and put in place an annual update to capture future changes.
No action required - this is live in your system and will appear accurately in reports

Apple and Google Pay now work with Spektrix Payments
Customers can now pay on mobile using Apple Pay and Google Pay through Spektrix Payments.
What is it?
Mobile payments have been added to the checkout for Spektrix Payments. This means that customers can now pay for purchases with Google and Apple Pay both online and in your venue.
What will this help me achieve?
Boost conversion rates with a frictionless purchase path. With mobile payment methods, completing a purchase online is quick and easy. Customers won’t need to enter their card details to make a purchase; their information is already securely saved on their own device.

Integrate with Spektrix through Zapier
Connect Spektrix instantly with over 7,000 software products.
What is it?
Zapier is a web-based automation platform allowing users to connect leading web applications and services. We’ve created a publicly available Spektrix integration and have used this to build integrations with various partners who offer products or services you’ve asked for.
What will this help me achieve?
Zapier acts as a link between Spektrix and a range of applications, including many that don’t have a direct integration with Spektrix. This has made it possible to integrate with products like Shopify, FundraiseUp, Square and many more, giving you quick, reliable connections to the tools you need.

Digital marketing: Sync more customer data with personalised emails
You’re now able to include more personalised detail in your emails by syncing additional customer data from Spektrix to Dotdigital.
What is it?
Calculated metrics are pieces of data about your customer that Spektrix automatically generates, such as their credit balance, weeks until their next visit, and if they've never booked. This information now syncs directly into Dotdigital, and can be used as Contact Data Fields in your communications.
What will this help me achieve?
Calculated metrics can be used to personalise your email content. This means you can remind customers of outstanding credit balance or email them a week before their next ticket. Calculated metrics can also be used within automated email programs, making it even easier to segment audiences and send more targeted and impactful communications based on booking information.

More ways to sell Ticket Subscriptions through integrated websites
You can now add Ticket Subscriptions to your website in more dynamic ways.
What is it?
If your website’s built using the Spektrix API, you can work with your web developer to create custom booking pathways specific to your audience or offer. This addition allows you to include flexible season ticket subscriptions in those custom journeys.
What will this help me achieve?
Working with your web developer, you’ll be able to design custom checkout flows specific to your organisation. That could mean one-click bundles combining tickets and subscriptions in a single basket, or other dynamic workflows that you’re best placed to design!

Accurately report the carbon footprint of ticketing
You can understand the environmental impact of using Spektrix.
What is it?
We can now give you a working figure of ~20g CO²e per ticket sold, based on our operations in 2023. This is the first step in our path to become a carbon neutral organisation - through 2025, we'll continue working actively to reduce our carbon footprint and to better understand our impact.
What will this help me achieve?
You can more accurately report on Scope 3 emissions created through your use of Spektrix.

What is it?
We’ve built integrations with classes and camps partners, unlocking smoother registrations and more detailed data capture.
What will this help me achieve?
Registering for camps and classes will be easier than ever for your customers. Booker data will flow directly into Spektrix, which means that when you look at a customer record in Spektrix, you’ll be able to view all points of interaction they’ve had with your organisation, from event and class bookings to memberships, donations, and merchandise purchases. You can also easily segment and report on registration data. Additionally, you’ll be able to offer payment plans on your courses.

Redeem Theatre Tokens online through Spektrix.
What is it?
Customers complete purchases at your organisation with Theatre Tokens, the largest theatre gift voucher scheme in the UK, by setting them up as an API agent.
What will this help me achieve?
Theatre tokens can be a great source of revenue. Since going live with Theatre Token redemption through Spektrix, one venue increased redemptions by 69%, bringing in just under £30k worth of Theatre Tokens in six months.

Email audiences with 'need to know' updates
Reach every audience member with vital information about show changes or ticket details.
What is it?
At present, emails sent through Dotdigital are treated as marketing emails under data protection regulation. That means if a customer has ever unsubscribed they won’t receive important customer service information about production changes or cancellations. This feature will allow you to contact every attendee - even if they’ve unsubscribed from marketing emails - and highlight customers without valid email addresses so you can try an alternative contact method.
What will this help me achieve?
You’ll be able to trigger a customer service email which overrides customers’ subscription preferences, in order to provide essential information. This could include updates to the production such as a cancelation, venue change, or understudy appearing in place of a main performer. As a bonus, the same feature will also enable ‘just-in-time’ delivery of e-tickets as a step to avoid touting.

Digital marketing: Abandoned basket emails
Follow up with customers who added items to their basket, but didn’t complete the transaction.
What is it?
Trigger automated email reminders when shopping carts are abandoned without payment, pulling through personalised event details based on the basket contents.
What will this help me achieve?
Reduce lost revenue and re-engage interested customers, with options to remind customers they’re missing out, warn them about fast-selling shows, or check in to learn whether they’re struggling.

Scanning barcodes from 3rd party ticket agents
Import sales from third party retailers, and scan ticket barcodes through Spektrix scanners.
What is it?
We know that many of you sell tickets through external agencies and promoters like Ticketmaster, Dice, and See Tickets, as well as directly through Spektrix. Soon, you’ll be able to import sales lists and check in every customer from a single scanner.
What will this help me achieve?
To scan tickets purchased from these 3rd party agents, ushers currently have to manage multiple scanning devices, or admit audience members on trust where they’ve purchased through an external site. Now that will be simplified, making life easier for your team and smoother for your patrons.

Add ticket information and targeted upsells to email campaigns built in Dotdigital.
What is it?
Spektrix will write event and transaction data to Dotdigital, so you can include ticket information in pre-event emails. That makes it easier to contact customers on the day of their visit, providing event information including venue, duration, imagery and attributes, alongside ticket QR codes and targeted prompts to pre-order merchandise or catering.
What will this help me achieve?
No more searching through emails for the original transaction! Create a better service for your patrons, with seating choices and booking details ready at a glance - and drive additional revenue with relevant upsells, close to the day of attendance.

What is it?
Automatically populate email campaigns with your upcoming events, pulling data and event image directly from Spektrix with simple, prebuilt blocks. Choose to show the next three events, filter by genre, or draw down AI-powered personalised recommendations based on every recipient’s purchase history.
What will this help me achieve?
No more need to build multiple emails or manual dynamic content blocks for different segments of your audience - your email campaigns will be automatically tailored to each customer’s interests based on filters of your choosing, to create a more personal relationship with every audience member.

We will make our in-house payment features available in the API, making it possible to build a fully customised checkout flow.
What is it?
You’ll be able to work with your web developer to build a fully custom checkout flow, creating your ideal customer experience.
What will this help me achieve?
If you’re using Spektrix Payments alongside an integrated website built using iframes or API, you can design a custom checkout flow that’s aligned with your priorities. For example, if you want to maximise checkout speed, you could place mobile payment options at the top of your checkout flow. With just one click, customers can complete their purchase: no scrolling or stopping to fill in details, just a smooth, fast path to conversion and clean, accurate data reaching your Spektrix system.

You’ll be able to upgrade communications with members and donors by including purchase or donation data fields in email content. This will include the name of a membership tier, the value of donations, and start or expiry dates for memberships.
What will this help me achieve?
Improve donor engagement with more personalised campaigns, using dynamic fields to quickly set up more tailored communications drawing new data fields from Spektrix into Dotdigital.

Customers can bypass checkout and login, writing data direct from their phones.
What is it?
If you're using Spektrix Payments (our in-house upgrade from Opayo) you'll be able to access a streamlined checkout flow, collecting clean, reliable customer data in a one-click purchase pathway through Apple or Google Pay.
What will this help me achieve?
Currently, Apple and Google Pay options appear at the end of the checkout flow. More flexible options will offer a faster, more streamlined process: because the customer’s name, address, and email already lives in Apple or Google, there’s no need for them to enter it again. They can complete their transaction in seconds, and you’ll have all the data you need.

Send multiple communications pre- or post- visit, or combine events into one single email.
What is it?
You’ll be able to send more than one email before or after a visit, to reach customers with information at the most appropriate time.
Within the same feature, you’ll also be able to combine multiple events into a single email - sending just one pre-visit communication to festival attendees, or including information about both the main event and merchandise or catering orders sold as supplementary events.What will this help me achieve?
Provide more information to your audiences, when they need it, and upsell drinks or VIP packages on a timescale that works for you. With more control over your communications you’ll be able to create a richer, more personalised customer experience, whilst still benefiting from automated tools to take the work out of your hands.

Customers can check out without prior account creation through the API
Streamline API-based checkout for first-time and one-off visitors, whilst still capturing customer details.
What is it?
We’ll adjust our API to allow transactions to be completed without new customers needing to create an account and password upfront.
What will this help me achieve?
This is already possible for many organisations using the Express Checkout iframe - this improvement will support you if you’re using web user API v3 to embed the checkout flow into your website.
